He was predeceased by: his parents, Rito Rangel Villanueva and Maria B. Esparza Rangel. He is survived by: his children, Juan Gerardo Rangel, Citla Aracely Rangel, Hugo Cesar Rangel, Elba Isela Rangel, Jose Fernando Rangel and Laura E. Rangel. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, nieces nephews and extended family.
