He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Ortega and Elisa Marquez Ortega; and his siblings, Delia Diaz, Febe Herrera, Daniel Ortega Jr., Horace Ortega and Reynaldo Ortega.
He is survived by: his grandchild Adventures; his wife Rachel T. Ortega; his children, Capri Tophoven (Ingo), Jacob Ortega (Leah) and Amber Ortega (Brady); his grandchildren, Lukas, Katharina, Annika Tophoven, Topiltzin, Izel and Xilotzin Perez; his sister Carolina Ortiz; his siblings-in-law, Charles Herrera, David Treviño (Yolanda), Jane Jones (Charles), Eleanor Molina (Sam), Ruth Ann Treviño, Eunice Treviño, Pauline Ortega and Estella Treviño; and his parents-in-law, Jesus Maria Treviño and Juanita Treviño. He is also survived by wife, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for gifts to help Rachel, Abel's widow, relocate to San Antonio and transition to assisted home health care.
