He was predeceased by: his wife Mandy Ruth Waldroup Wharton; and his sons, Lloyd Alton Wharton and William Harris. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Alton; his daughter-in-law Rene Wharton of DeKalb; his daughter Angelic Wharton Autrey; his son-in-law Robert Joe Autrey of Maud; and his siblings, Jimmy Wayne Wharton, James Albert Wharton of New Boston, Lela Jone Cates of New Boston and Lenora Boughton. He is also survived by other friends and family.
