He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Wells and Golda Inez Gunter Wells; and his brother James E Harris. He is survived by: his sons, Gerald "Chip" Harris (Jackie) and Charles C. Harris Jr. (Ashley). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In leui of flowers, family requests that donations be made to St Jude Cancer Research Institute in Charles' name.
