He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvell Lee Carroll and Annie Lou Carroll (McDonald); and his siblings, Melvin Lee Shelton, William Jackson Carroll, Dena Lou Burson (Carroll) and Eula Fay Daughtrey (Carroll).
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dale Carroll (Daughtrey) of Mathis; his daughter Karen Carroll of Beeville; his grandchildren, Krystin Reyna, Steve Carroll and Caleb Morris; his great grandchildren, Caleb "CJ" Morris Jr., Avelino, Maltos, Cayden Morris, Connor Morris and Paislee Morris; and his siblings, Anna Nixon, Cora Crim, Rena Ketchen (Ben) and Joe Carroll (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
