He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Gonzales and Juanita Gonzales; his former wife Aurora Gonzales; his brother Ben Menchaca; and his nephew James Gonzales.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Gonzales of Watonga; his children, Steven (Ivana Gonzales), Liz (Jim Coleman), Jane (David Marks), Douglas Gonzales and Kevin (Jerri Gonzales); his sister Gloria (Tom Schmidt); and also, Ben and Adelina Gonzales. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Watonga All Sports Association, PO Box 310, Watonga, OK 73772 or Mathis ISD Athletic Boosters, 612 E. San Patricio Ave, Mathis, TX 78368.
