He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimas Acosta and Bonifacia Acosta; and his siblings, Margarita, Juanita Acosta, Apolonio "Polo", Atanislao "Tanis", Pedro, Paulino and Gilberto Acosta.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Acosta; and his children, Cristella Acosta, Irene Rios (Jesse), Marivel Acosta, Dimas Acosta (Celia), Ramon Acosta Jr. and Joe Acosta (Melissa). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
