He was predeceased by: his parents, Severo Sr and Maria Salinas Sr.; and his brother James Salinas. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his children, Carolina Salinas, Javier Salinas Jr. and Jose Luis Salinas; and his siblings, Imelda Martinez (Ralph), Criselda Robles (Roel), Hector Salinas (Linda), Rene Salinas (Lucy), Richard Salinas and Albert Salinas.
