She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy James Modkins and Addie Ray Hearsley; her stepfathers, Anful Butler Jr. and Willie James Hill; her siblings, Doris Barnette and Wilford D. Hearsley; and her nephews, Phillip Taylor Jr., Zachariah Taylor and Willie Modkins.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy Roberts; her stepson Leroy Anthony Roberts; and her siblings, Angela Hardeman, Anniece Butler, Linda Jimmenson, Pasty Evans, Ruby Mann, Ernest Hearsley, Donnie Butler, Anful Butler III, Jesstine Butler, Norris Jackson and Roy Modkins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (121 N Duval St, Mathis, TX 78368). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (404 S Bee St, Mathis, TX 78368). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Cenizo Hill Cemetery (23832 County Rd 441, Mathis, TX 78368).
