He is survived by: his wife Mary Zapata; his children, Priscilla Jasso (Quirino), Lisa Marie Zapata and Hector Zapata Jr.; his sisters, Celestina Moreno (George) and Lori Ann Trejo; his stepfather Ted Almeida; his half-sisters, Frances Zapata and Rachel Zapata; and his aunts and uncles, Amelia Marin (Vicente), Erlinda Soliz (Francisco), Juanita Estrada (Ruben), Ruben Medrano Sr. (Lupita) and Jose Medrano (Frances). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
