It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guadalupe Garcia Villarreal of Mathis, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Villarreal and Maria Villarreal; his grandson Nathaniel Dominguez; and his siblings, Susie Cantu, Lucy Vasquez, Pauline Perez, Mary Villarreal, Victor Villarreal and Sydney Villarreal.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa DeLaRosa Villarreal; his children, Delicia Ledezma, Julia Dominguez (Daniel) and Guadalupe Villarreal III (Lisa); his grandchildren, Martin Ledezma, Christopher Ledezma, Anthony Ibarra, Alaine Ibarra, Jasmine Villarreal, Izaiah Dominguez, Izabella Dominguez, Nicholas Dominguez and June Dominguez; his great grandchildren, Makayla Ledezma, Christopher Ledezma Jr. and Adelina Garcia; and his siblings, Juliana Alcocer, Felipe Villarreal (Annie) and Zaragoza Villarreal. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Winsteads' Funeral Home (121 N Duval St, Mathis, TX 78368). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (216 E San Patricio Ave, Mathis, TX 78368). A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
