She was predeceased by: her parents, Lenore Hassell Frels and Elgin George Frels; her husband Frank Dean Carriger; and her sister Virginia Moore Fender of Fort Worth. She is survived by: her children, Bill James Carriger (Nancy) and Deana Lynn Sugarek (Mark); her grandchildren, Catherine Hanna (Danny), Jim Sugarek (Gina), John Carriger (Morgan), Ellen Moritz (Robert), William Carriger (Amanda) and Thomas Carriger; and her stepgrandchildren, Ross Janota (Crystal), Rusty Janota and Kate Heyser (Rick). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and nine step- great grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Cenizo Hill Cemetery (23832 County Rd 441, Mathis, TX 78368).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cherokee Home for Children, the Argenta Church of Christ or the memorial of one's choosing.
