He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Funke and Marie Funke; his wife Lillian Funke; and his siblings, Effie Bodin, Frank Funke Sr., Roland Funke and Arlon Funke.

He is survived by: his sons, Elmer P. Funke Jr. (Monina) and Robert Funke; his sisters, Mary Coen and Jeannette Herwig; his grandchildren, Jody Valerio (Rudy), Ashley Cherry (Beau) and Georgina Marie Funke; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Cherry and Brody Cherry.
