He is survived by: his mother Gloria Flores Ortiz; his children, Gabriel R. Ortiz (Hilaria) and Vanessa Carla Mendoza (Robert); his grandchildren, Gabriel Anthony Ortiz (Amanda), Carmelo J. Ortiz, Devin D. Mendoza, Deron R. Mendoza, Marivel R. Ortiz and Megan M. Mendoza; his siblings, Daniel Ortiz (Roxanne), Anna Ortiz and Ava Ortiz; his caregiver Esmeralda Hernandez of Mathis; and his grandchildren, Carmelo Ortiz and Deron Mendoza.
