He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Kahan and Leah Kahan; his wife Marilyn; and his brother Melvyn. He is survived by : his son Ryne Kahan of Mason; his sisters-in-law, Lyndith Kuhne of Mason, Goldie Lease of Garland and Janet James of Venus; and his caregivers, Carla, Greg and Windcrest.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (204 Postoak St, Mason, TX 76856). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 2nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (210 Broad St, Mason, TX 76856).
