He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Melvin Garner and Ima Faye Allen; and his sister Glenda Lemman Philips. He is survived by: his sons, Henry (Teresa) and Patrick (Consuelo); his grandchildren, Antony, Mary Garner, Kria, Seth Thompson, Sheena, Justin Cortez, Tia and Kurt Dickey; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Elliott, Grace, Ava Thompson, Weston, Kode Belle Cortez and Wyatt Dickey. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, striped cat, and big dog.
During the Covid pandemic Gary found his religious support online.
