We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2024, at the age of 82, Carla Gwyn Ake (Mason, Texas), born in Amarillo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence VanDoran and Bob VanDoran; and her grandson Wesley Cracker Crouch. She is survived by: her husband Robert Matthew Ake; her sons, Christopher Wayne Ake (Christy) of Mason, Texas, Kelly Reubin Ake (Tiffany) of Mason, Texas and John Robert Ake of Denton, Texas; her brothers, Dusty VanDoran (Teri) of Amarillo and Bobby VanDoran (Alice) of Round Rock, Texas.; her grandchildren, Courtney Ake of Mason, Kenzie Ake of Mason, Kyleigh Ake of Mason and Jax Ake of Mason; and her great grandchildren, Caden Crouch of Brock, Cora Biddy and Collins Anderson of Mason, Texas.. She is also survived by her three granddaughters, her two grandsons and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mason Cancer Benefit or Mason County EMS or Mason County Volunteer Fire Department.
