He is survived by: his wife Thelma Vestal East; his son Brandon East (Ginny); his stepchildren, Alice Chavis and Charles East (Beverly); and his siblings, Brenda Shelton (Johnny), Linda Mullis, Mary Barlow, James East (Betty), Russell East, Bobby East (Shirley) and Harvey "Smokey" East. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
