He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton "Erette" Mills and Dorothy Layton Mills Martin; and his stepfather Rex Martin. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Fuller Mills; his daughter Stacy McShane; his grandchildren, Cecil McSwain (Haley), Jessica Smith (Charlie), Mandi Fountain (Ben), Macie Bass (Morgan), Jennifer Phillips and Tuff McShane; his great grandchildren, Brent, Bryce, BrayLee Smith, Kruse, Ryder, Fountain, Paisley McShane, Layne Green, Ellie Bass and Tucker McSwain; his aunt Billye Morrow of Ft. Worth; and his friend Odis Sparks.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks any memorial donations to be made to Nacogdoches Animal Shelter at 3211 SW Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches Texas 75964, Nacogdoches Foster Rescue, Wounded Warrior Project, or your favorite charity.
