He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Peyton and Ellen Ercelle Emmons; his sister Mary Ellen Kestler; and his wives, Juanita Vann and Betty Kuczaj of Wimberley.
He is survived by: his children, Ellen Kathleen Greene of Houston, Julie Rebecca Morris of Natchez, Johnnie Lee Emmons, Jr. of Rifle and Christopher Matthew Emmons of New Braunfels, Texas.; his grandchildren, Pamela Kay Brister of Ranger, Woody Pennington of Houston, Amanda Jennings of Rifle, Colorado, Justin Lee Emmons of Costa Mesa, California, Melissa Dawn Wolf of Broomfield, Colorado, Peyton, Parker and Jake Emmons of New Braunfels; and his great grandchildren, Dominque Lee Jennings of Rifle, Victoria Lovelle Pennington of Houston and Savannah Joy Wolf of Broomfield.
