He was predeceased by: his parents, Cresencio, Sr. Avalos and Julia Avalos; his siblings, Cresencio Avalos Jr., Apolinar "Paul" Avalos, Julia Torres, Louisa Martinez, Antonia Reyes, Loretta Alvarez and Petra Contreras; and his son-in-law Jose Guadalupe Gonzales, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Isabel Avalos; his children, Irene A. Gonzales, Teresa A. Cordero, Anastacio Avalos, Jr. (Debbie) and Gerardo Avalos (Connie); his siblings, Anita Sambrano, Estella Alvarez, David Avalos, Valentine Avalos, Pedro Avalos and Frank Castilleja; and his pets, Carmelita and Curly. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Los Angeles Funeral Home (300 Cheatham St, San Marcos, TX 78666). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (624 E Hopkins St, San Marcos, TX 78666). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Memory Lawn Memorial Park (19106 San Marcos Hwy, Martindale, TX 78655).
