We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2020, at the age of 96, Velma Lorena Kay of Marshall, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Isaac Hearne and Ethel Lydia Clark Hearne; her former husband Benjamin Willard Kay August; her husband Ben; and her son Donald Wayne Kay.

She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Kay (Karen) of Crestview, FL and Randy Kay (Vickie) of Marshall; her grandchildren, Tim Kay (Tammy) of Covington, TX, Rona Herman (Stefan) of Charlotte, NC, Leslie Kay of Marshall, Benjamin Kay of Crestview, FL and Tommy Kay of Crestview, FL; her great grandchildren, Taylor Kay, Gavin McKinney, Brittan Kay, Gracie Wheeler, Nicholas Wheeler, Joseph Thomas McDaniels, Nash Warwick and Abby Warwick; and her sister-in-law Marie Hearne. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made to the Woodlawn Baptist Church general fund in her honor.
