It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tom Mapps Jr. of Marshall, Texas, who passed away on December 5, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Mapps Jr. and Alice Jones Mapps; and his siblings, Willie D. Connor and Nancy Marie Mapps. He is survived by: his parent-in-law Shirley Ann Curry; his wife Shirley Mapps; his children, Marcus Mapps (Vanessa), Dennis Mapps, Larry Mapps, Victor Mapps (Ruby), Sharon Frederick, Tina James (Barney) and Kristy Cavness (Orestus); and his sisters, Jennie V Wynn (Deland) and Betty Mapps Murry. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
