He was predeceased by: his parents, Panky Sexton and Elizabeth Smith; his siblings, Fay McClenan, Sue Sexton and Chuck Sexton; and his son Tony Sexton.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sexton of Marshall; his children, Joe Sexton of Marshall, Mike Sexton (Tonya) of Jourdanton and Mary Grogan (Hoss) of Marshall; his grandchildren, Justin Pipkin (Courtney) of Marshall, Nick Grogan (Kaylee Webb) of Hallsville, DJ Grogan (Ashley) of Marshall Tx, Tori Sexton of Gladewater, Madison Sexton of Greenville, Cristen Foshee of Shreveport, LA, Levi Foshee (Gabby) of Jourdanton, Caleb Harvey of Jourdanton, Hunter Harvey of Jourdanton and Kaitlyn Harvey of Jourdanton; his great grandchildren, Kenzie Lewis, Landon Pipkin, Jaxon Pipkin, Andrew Grogan and Mia Grogan; his siblings, Brenda Penland of Longview, Judy Reedy (Freddy) of Portsmith, Jack Sexton (Diane) of Ore City, Denny Sexton (Terry) of Plymouth and Bill Sexton of Virginia; his pet Lady; and also Oliver Laney of Marshall, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A burial will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at the Yates Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Friends of Marshall Animals.
