He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Cole, Sr. and Mattie Veasley Taylor; his siblings, Grad Cole, Alice Knight, Donnie Lee Forman, Mary Lathan and Vera Laster; and his sister-in-law Betty Jean Cole.
He is survived by: his children, Ilea Machelle Cole and Paul Wayne Cole, Jr. of Marshall, Texas; his siblings, L. Z. Fortman (Helen) of Milpitas, Elmer Cole, Jr. (Mary) of Bossier City, Andrew Cole (Jennifer) of Ft. Worth, Marcus Cole (Phyllis) of Garland, Joe Russell Cole of Los Angeles, Stoney Cole and Mary Cole of Dallas, Texas; and his sister-in-law Faye Cole of Marshall, Texas. He is also survived by several aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
