He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louise Coghlan and Col. Jack Vincent Coghlan. He is survived by: his spouse Laurie; his daughter Shaylee of Plano, TX; his brothers, Vincent (Margery) of Tyler, TX, Michael (Ginger) of Marshall, TX and Dennis (Diane Wallace) of Marshall, TX; his cousins, Dottie of Chevy Chase, MD, Judy, Steve of Roanoke, VA, Kelly and Katie of Houston, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Colten Coghlan, Casey Weir, Codi Coghlan and Cori Weir.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
