He was predeceased by: his significant other Willie Mae; his children, Emma, Donald Ray and Rhonda; his grandsons, Kenneth Keith and Lee Arthur; and his brother Walter Miles (Ruth).
He is survived by: his children, Herman Sr., Perry, Melvin, Robert, Terry, Kenneth (Latricia), Jean (Clint), Crystal, Christine and Cassie; and his cousin Ingrid Williams. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren.
