He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Jones and Ruby Harice Edwards Jones. He is survived by: his sons, Larry Jones Jr., Karrington Jones and Jerome Johnson Jr.; and his siblings, Ruby Smith, Ruth Miles, Mattie Jones, Martha Sheppard, Sondra Jones, Judy Jones, Helen Rodgers, Lonzo Jones, James Jones, Reginald Jones, Floyd Jones and Moses Dewayne Ingram. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
