He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Capers Williams, Sr. and Sarah Mae Williams (Phillips); and his brothers, Odell Williams, A. C. Williams and James Earl Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Cooper Williams; his sisters, Ruth Barrientos (John) and Anneata Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Georgia Williams, Carolyn Williams, Eloise C. Martin (Austin), Christine Cooper, Rosemary Daniel, Woody Cooper (Annie), Gary A. Cooper (Valerie) and Steve B. Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, cousins, great-nephews, great-nieces and friends.
