He is survived by: his children, Cynthia A. Smith and John L. Smith Jr. of Longview, TX; his grandchildren, Danisha Gray of Longview, TX, Jessica Shannon and Timothy Smith of Ft. Worth; and his sister-in-law Earnestine Hurd of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
