It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Mercer of Marshall, Texas, born in Elysian Fields, Texas, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Mercer and Mattie Mercer (Woodley); and his siblings, Henry Mercer, Louise Burt and Sybil McDaniel.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Mercer (April), Mattie Mercer, Amelia Perry and Elizabeth Wright; his grandchildren, Kevin Mercer, Cody Wright, Cheyanne Wright, Brooke Sturrock, Jaden Mercer and Ashley Woods; his great grandchildren, Henley Sturrock, Lucas Sturrock, Ava Sturrock, Brooklynn Woods and Remington Woods; and his niece Freida Moore (Joe). He is also survived by four brothers and sisters; numerous other family members and many friends.
