Bishop of Marshall, Texas, born in Gladewater, Texas, who passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Patrick Spruiell and Daisy W. Littrell Spruiell; her husband Oscar L. Bishop; her siblings, Melvin Spruiell, Herschel Spruiell, William Spruiell, Alton Spruiell, Dewey Spruiell, Carlton Spruiell, Dorothy Holmes, Betty Jo Jones and Mary Ellen Spruiell; and her grandchildren, Larry Beloney, Jr. and Sonya Clark.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Clark, Debra Gulley and Wilma Barbo (David); her stepchildren, Theresa Forstall (Jim) and Fay Jeen Hupp (Ronnie); and her grandchildren, Stephen Clark (Jessica), Benjamin Clark, Kim Pendley, Holly Lewis (Shawn), Jill Ann Mills (Daniel), Michael Beloney (Stacey), Carla Clark, William Carl Clark (Brandy), Michael Shane Clark, Jennifer and Vicki Martin (Hayden). She is also survived by twenty eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and other friends and family.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel (1900 Olive St, Marshall, TX 75670). A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at the Colonial Gardens Cemetery.
