He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Rust and Bernice Marie Lane; his former wife Sue Rust; his stepson Larry May; his brother Larry Glynn Rust; and his grandchildren, Miranda and David.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Rust; his children, Brent (Wanda), Janet (Charles), James A. (Tawnya), Paul David, Karen (Ray), Sandy (James) and Chris (Robin); his sister Lottie Torkelson; his sister-in-law Deb Rust; and his brothers, Terry (Arlene Rust) and Lee Rust. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
