It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Gibson of Marshall, Texas, who passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Gibson and Lucy Viola Webb Gibson; and his sister Johnnie Lanier. He is survived by: his wife Martha Gibson; his daughter Lisa Gibson Slayter (Don); his grandchildren, Christopher Slayter (Lyndsey), Catheryne Taylor (William), Meredith Slayter Flint (Nicholas) and Joanna Slayter; his great grandchildren, Clover Slayter, Amelia Taylor and Jackson James Taylor; his brother Gerald Gibson; and his nephew Jack Welch. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
