James Cox Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cox of Marshall, Texas, born in Corsicana, Texas, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Cox to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elda Cox and Essie Cox; his brother Loran Cox; and his mother-in-law Mae Williams. He is survived by: his wife Patsy E. Cox; his children, Mark Cox (Julie), Matt Cox (Tammy), John Michael Cox and Mindy Soape (Jeff); his grandchildren, Addie Soape, Alicia, Ryan Anderson, Dr. Steven, Crystal Cox, Morgan and Roberto Solis; his great grandchildren, Brody Solis, Caden Cox, Carlee Cox, Wyatt Anderson and Walker Anderson; his sister Wanda Sikes; his brother-in-law Larry Allen (Bonnie); his nephews, Jimmy Cox, Ched Cox, Ricky Sikes and Allen Sikes; and his niece Angel Tettleton. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In observing CDC guidelines, if you choose to attend the visitation or service, facemasks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made in Scooter's memory to Summit United Methodist Church, 1901 East End Blvd. North, Marshall, Texas 75670.
