He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Rushing and Virginia D. Rushing; and his sister Martha Ruth Rushing. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Rushing of Marshall; his children, Mark Blalock, Hunter Rushing and Devon Rushing; his sister Gail Elaine Rushing; and his grandchildren, Chloe, Chase and Ozzy Blalock.
