He was predeceased by: his parents, John Loyd Sullivan, Sr. and Mary Lucile Woods. He is survived by: his wife Debby Sullivan; and his sons, Phillip Sullivan (Renee) and Scott Sullivan (Sandra). He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made in Irvin's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
