He was predeceased by : his parents, Acie W. Chappell and Effie L. Barton Chappell; his wife Margie Ann Chappell; his daughter Margaret Ann Chappell; and his siblings, Clyde, Roy, Robert, Earl, Charles, Cecil Chappell, Marguriette Chappell and Linda Chappell Oard.

He is survived by : his daughter Carla; his daughter-in-law Angie Chappell; his grandchildren, Alexandria Ann Fielder Ogden (Justin) and Samuel Fielder; his great grandchild Lilly Ann Ogden; his siblings, Harmon Chappell (Sharon) and Nina Miley; his sister-in-law Jerraldeen Parsons; and also, Virginia, Pablo, Hector, Lucio and Paulina Betancourt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cammack Family Sullivan Funeral Home (100 E Travis St, Marshall, TX 75670).
