He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Waldrop and Maxine Waldrop (Lunsford); his wife JoAnn Vernon Waldrop; and his brother Marvin Floyd Waldrop. He is survived by: his children, Terri Waldrop Brown (Ross), Jeff Waldrop (Mindy) and Cheryl Waldrop Davis; his grandchildren, Trenton Davis, Chelsea Reno (Scott) and Charla Waldrop; his great grandchildren, Audrey Reno, Aiden Reno, Keira Reno and Collin Reno; and his siblings, Betty Waldrop Nash and Bobby Waldrop. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
