She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Knox and Emma Tucker Knox; her children, Ruby Roach and Glendale Roach; her brothers, Johnny Knox, Robert Knox and Ed Knox; and her grandsons, Kendrick Roach and Brodrick Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, James Roach, Jr., Jeannie Spratling and Emma Williams (Roy); her siblings, Bessie Knox, Genell Knox Williams and J. D. Knox (Patricia); her grandchildren, Kamesha, Sherelle, Jermaine, Elvisha, Jasmon, Tasha, Jeremy, Jamall, Jamarcus, Ramona, Charles, Emile, Christopher and Chenea; and her sister-in-law Shirley Gaut. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
