He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amos Person and Ethel Honeycutt Person; his wife Mae Dean Person; his children, Sheila Maxey (Rickey), Sarah McCarty (Don), Terry Person (Cynthia), Kelly Person (Angela) and Brenda Wright (Robert); his brothers, Dwain Person (Deana) and Dan Person (Mary); his grandchildren, Tammie Eberhart, Kelsie Kristine Person, Lauren McCarty, Jesse Wright, Abigail Wright and Noah Wright; his great grandchildren, Tatum Foster, Remington Foster, Jeryd Eberhart, Marlee Eberhart and Kylie Grace Person; his brother Forrest L. Person; his daughter Rebecca Ann Foster; and his grandson Jerry Lee Foster. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
