It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Shirley of Marshall, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent E. G. Owens, Sr.; her husband Floyd Watson Shirley; and her siblings, Billy F. Boules, Mary Frances Alexander and E. G. Owens, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Billy Dale Shirley of Longview, Texas, Brenda Carlile (Mike) of Dickinson, Texas and Jo Anne Elmiger (Joe) of New Braunfels, Texas; her grandchildren, Erin Shirley of Austin and Kelly Pleger (Zach); and her great grandchildren, Charlie and Elle Pleger. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many special friends she loved.
