She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Harris and Euodias Harris; and her husband Dr. Franklin Atkinson. She is survived by: her children, Ruth Hoffman (Billy), Jean Davis (Jay) and David Atkinson (Gina); her grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Stephanie Davis (John), Natalie Phillips (Gary), Zane Atkinson and Kiera Atkinson; and her great grandchildren, Joshua, Katelyn, Heston Davis, Will and Cora Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin and Barbara Atkinson Endowment Fund at East Texas Baptist University or the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions.
