It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Fred Strangmeyer Jr. (Marlin, Texas), who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Strangmeyer and Billie Strangmeyer; and his parents-in-law, Rosell and Clara Merryman. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Ann Merryman Strangmeyer; his children, Gerald Strangmeyer (Rhonda), Angela Bryant (JD), Prissy Brown (David) and Missy Stein (Donnie); and his siblings, William Strangmeyer (Gayle), Jo Ann Zerkle (Jack), Scott Strangmeyer and Joyce Ryder (Scott). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (129 Coleman St, Marlin, TX 76661). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in his memory to Eastside Church of Christ, Marlin, Texas.
