He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Fitz; his son Larry; his siblings, L. B. Mushinski, A. J. Mushinski, Stanley Mushinski, Lee Mushinski and Natalie Duhr; and his stepgrandson Chris Colby.
He is survived by: his former wife Clara Nowaski Mushinski; his son Billie; his daughters-in-law, Dot and Janet Mushinski; his sister Connie Gannon; and his stepchildren, Gerry, Debbie Nowaski, Tim Nowaski, Gene, Donna Wilkey, Sam and Karen Nowaski. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; 25 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-great grandchildren.
