He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Hegefeld, Sr. (Oralee) of Marlin and Danny Hegefeld (Diane) of Lorena; his grandchildren, Dana Overcast, Justin Overcast, Tammy Shefa, Barry Shefa, Dena Hegefeld, Denaie Hegefeld, Dusty Carpenter, Cindy Carpenter, Tina Hegefeld, Josh Carpenter, Ricky Hegefeld and Wendy Hegefeld; his sister Ella Mae; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Hegefeld and Arnold Kroll. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
