It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaFern Constance Portele Miller (Marlin, Texas), who passed away on July 19, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Celestine Demanche Portele and Rudolph Portele; her husband Roland Miller; her siblings, John Rudolph Portele and Celestine Portele Bradley; and her son Steven Miller.
She is survived by : her sister Loraine Portele Bearden (Louis); her children, Ronald Miller, Sharon Miller Hernandez and Monica Miller Melson (Christopher); her grandsons, Todd Hernandez (Tahnee), Christopher Melson Jr. (Leigh) and Steven Melson; her great grandchildren, Jordan Morgan, Jaron Morgan, Jaselyn Hernandez, Jett Hernandez, Christopher Melson III and James Melson; and her great great grandchild Merritt Morgan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
We ask, in lieu of flowers, that donations by check be made to the Texas State Library noting on the memo line the donation is for the Talking Book Program.
