He was predeceased by : his parents, David Henry and Lucille Alene McDaniel (Manes); his wife Roberta McDaniel (Stevens); his daughter Terry Cox; and his brothers, David McDaniel and Bobby Ray McDaniel.

He is survived by : his children, William "Bill" McDaniel (Matt McCoy) of Atlanta and Tracy Martinez (John) of Hubbard; and also Roper McDaniel. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
