He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Markowski and Alice Markowski (Slafka); his son Kirk Markowski; and his brothers, Edmond and Fred.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his son Pee-Wee Markowski; his great grandchildren, Cadence and Camden; his siblings, Ronnie, Stanley (Bonnie), Patsy Nemec and JoAn Slafka; his sisters-in-law, Annie Ethel Tebo, Husband Ernie and Nancy Wilson; and also Evelyn. He is also survived by many Nieces and Nephews.
