With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edowina Bankhead of Markham, Texas, born in Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on February 8, 2022 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Tate and Alina Tate; her husband Alfred "Sonny" Bankhead; and her son Donald Ray Bankhead. She is survived by: her daughters, Judith Sliva (Tony) of Blessing and Janet Saha (Mike) of El Maton; her grandchildren, Jana Dyer (Gerald), Cheryl Griffin (Murray), Scott Sliva, Kayla, Jeff Sliva (Leslie), Sheri Mayfield (Kelly), Mikey Saha (Christa), Stacey Spencer (Kade) and Mark Saha (Andi); and her great grandchildren, Nathan Sliva, Cameron Riojas, Chance Riojas, Garrett Mayfield, Cole Mayfield and Bryce Sliva. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
